Board30PV is a family affair

On any given day at Board30PV, you will likely see the daughters of co-owners Kristina McManus and Rachel Daughtry teaching class. Sometimes it’s Avery or Kelsey McManus and sometimes it’s Hope Daughtry. The younger instructors bring a renewed energy to the studio.
Along with the mother-daughter instructor teams, there are often mother-daughter clients working on their fitness together. Over the summer, a lot of the students are home from college and they often join their moms in class. Sometimes there may be several pairs of moms and daughters sweating it out. “It’s great to see families staying active and working on their health and wellness. We love that they spend this time in the studio where it truly is a family affair,” said Kristina McManus. “The fact that they are only in town for a short time and they choose to spend their free time with their mom working out really says a lot about our Board30 community.”
Kids mirror the behavior of the adults around them. “These moms are great role models for prioritizing their health and passing that behavior on to their kids,” says Rachel Daughtry. “Chances are if you care about fitness and taking care of your body, your kids will, too.”
We asked one Board30 mom what she enjoys the most about having her daughter join her in class. “I love spending time with Ava any way that I can so working out together is a bonus … I am doing something I enjoy with my favorite people,” says Devon Witt, Board30PV member about working out with her daughter, Ava. “We both love Board30PV because it offers the best workouts with qualified, diverse instructors in a fun and friendly environment. The people (instructors and members) really set it apart. It’s our happy place.”
